For years, I operated at a pace I thought was normal.  

I was building, delivering, managing, and pushing forward, and I convinced myself that this was simply what building a career looked like. 

Until the day a life-threatening health diagnosis made it very clear that it wasn’t sustainable.

That was turning point. 

When I finally decided to stop and find a retreat to recharge, I expected the process to be straightforward.  

Instead, I spent weeks searching across dozens of websites, reading contradictory reviews, and trying to figure out whether the options I was looking at were genuinely high-quality or just well-marketed. 

I was exhausted, and trying to find the right place to recover only made it worse. 

That experience is why C’Alma Retreats exists.

Through 25 years in the conference industry, I’ve travelled the world and experienced real luxury from the inside out. I’ve also lived through burnout and the severe health toll it takes – and it’s precisely that experience that taught me what genuine restoration should feel like.

I wanted to build something I wished had been there when I needed it: one trusted, beautifully curated platform where the quality is already assessed, the locations are genuinely exceptional, and the only decision left is choosing which one feels right.
